Log a meal in seconds.
Search millions of foods, scan a barcode, or take a photo of your plate and let BodyOra estimate it. Meals sort into breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner, with protein, carbs and fat totalled as you go.
BodyOra keeps your meals, workouts and recovery on one screen. Ora Coach reads today's log and tells you what to eat or train next.
Log food, train, check your recovery and see the week add up. Each screen feeds the others, so your calories left update the moment you finish a set.
Search millions of foods, scan a barcode, or take a photo of your plate and let BodyOra estimate it. Meals sort into breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner, with protein, carbs and fat totalled as you go.
Ask what to have for dinner, or photograph a restaurant menu and get the dishes that fit your remaining calories and protein.
Your burn updates every second across the app. Apple Watch readings arrive through Apple Health; without a watch, BodyOra estimates from the exercise and your weight.
Pictures and form tips for each exercise, searchable by muscle group and equipment.
Heart, fitness and mobility numbers in one place. BodyOra only reads them and never changes your Health records.
Average calories against your goal, weight trend, workouts completed and average macros, by week or by month.
BodyOra asks for what it needs to work and nothing more. You decide what the coach can see.
The diary, workouts, exercise library and Health dashboard are free. Pro removes the limits on Ora Coach and scans.

Answers to the questions people ask most. If yours isn't here, email us and a person will reply.
Open BodyOra and sign up with your email and a password, Sign in with Apple, or Google. Your profile, diary and workouts are saved to your account, so they come back if you change phones.
Your targets come from the profile you fill in: height, weight, age, sex and your goal. Calories burned in workouts are added on top, which is why the Home screen shows a line like “+312 kcal from workout.” You can change your goal and targets any time in Profile.
Yes. Choose metric or imperial units in Profile. Weigh-ins remember the unit you typed them in and show them back the same way.
Food search and barcode results come from Open Food Facts, a free, community-built database of packaged foods. Foods you've logged before appear first under recent foods.
Open Food Facts is filled in by volunteers, so some local or new products are missing.
Scans give an estimate based on what's visible in the picture. Portion sizes and hidden ingredients like oil or sauces can change the real numbers, so treat scan results as a starting point and adjust the amount if you know better.
Free includes a small number of food and menu scans each month, and the count resets on the 1st of the month (midnight UTC). Pro has unlimited scans. The app shows how many you have left before you scan.
When there are no heart rate readings from an Apple Watch in Apple Health, BodyOra estimates calories from the type of exercise, how long you did it and your body weight. Wear your Apple Watch during the workout to get calories based on your own heart rate.
No. Every feature works on iPhone alone. An Apple Watch makes workout calories and heart data more accurate because its readings reach BodyOra through Apple Health.
Not yet. For now, BodyOra uses the readings your watch already saves to Apple Health.
Yes. Go to Diary → Workouts, find the workout and tap Remove. Your calories left update straight away.
Workout reminders go out on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You can also get meal reminders and a weekly summary. All reminders are notifications on your phone, and you can turn them off in the app or in iPhone Settings → Notifications → BodyOra.
BodyOra asks the first time you open Health data. If you said no or want to change what it can read:
No. BodyOra only reads from Apple Health. It never adds, edits or deletes your Health records.
Apple Health doesn't store a step goal, so BodyOra uses 10,000 steps as the daily target.
Numbers like HRV, cardio fitness, walking steadiness and heart rate recovery are recorded by Apple Watch or iPhone only under certain conditions. If Apple Health has no reading, BodyOra has nothing to show. Check that the category is turned on for BodyOra in the Health app.
On Free, Ora Coach sees your profile, goals and today's activity and food log. On Pro, if you turn on Share health data with Ora Coach, it can also use your Health history, sleep, heart rate and workout trends. That setting is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time.
No. Ora Coach is an AI assistant for general fitness and nutrition ideas. It can make mistakes. Talk to a doctor before changing your diet or training if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are unsure.
Free messages reset every day at midnight UTC. Pro removes the daily limit for normal use.
Yes. Delete a conversation in Ora Coach and it's removed from our servers. Deleting your account removes all of them.
You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
Apple handles all payments for BodyOra, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds ourselves.
Still stuck? Email us with the date of purchase and we'll sort it out.
Yes. Pro belongs to your BodyOra account and your Apple ID. Sign in on the new phone with the same account and tap Restore Purchases if needed.
The email comes from BodyOra with the subject “Confirm your BodyOra email” and usually arrives within a minute.
The link in the email works once and expires after 1 hour. If it says the link no longer works, request a new email the same way.
Go to Profile and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, food diary, water and weigh-ins, workouts, scans and coach conversations from our servers. It doesn't cancel an Apple subscription, so cancel Pro in iPhone Settings first.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password and enter your email. We'll send a link to set a new one. If you signed up with Apple or Google, sign in with that button instead.

Last updated October 18, 2026. This policy explains what BodyOra collects, why, who processes it, and how to delete it.
BodyOra is an iPhone app for tracking food, workouts and health. It's built and run by Dunel Polissaint, an independent developer in the United States (“we,” “us”). For anything about your privacy, email [email protected].
The short version. We collect what you log so the app can work. Apple Health data is read on your phone and is only sent to us if you're on Pro and turn on coach sharing. We don't sell your data or show ads, and you can delete everything from the app.
With your permission, BodyOra reads data from Apple Health such as steps, distance, flights climbed, active energy, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, cardio fitness, walking metrics, sleep and workouts. BodyOra never writes to Apple Health.
Reminders for meals, workouts and the weekly summary are scheduled on your phone. They don't require sending your data anywhere.
We use a small number of service providers. They process data only to provide their service to us.
| Provider | What they do | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosting, database and sign-in | Your account, profile, logs, scans, coach chats and usage counts |
| Anthropic (Claude) | The AI model behind Ora Coach and scans | Coach messages, scan photos and the profile, log and (if shared) Health details needed to answer |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases and subscription checks | Sign-in identifier, purchase and subscription records |
| Sign in with Google, if you choose it | Sign-in identifier, name and email | |
| Open Food Facts | Food search and barcode lookup | Your search text or barcode and your device's IP address. Requests go straight from your phone to Open Food Facts and contain no account details. |
| Resend | Sends account emails, such as the sign-up confirmation, and delivers feature requests from this website to us | Your email address and the contents of the email; for a feature request, what you type in the form and the country it was sent from |
| Cloudflare | Hosts this website and the email confirmation page, and delivers emails you send to our support address | Your IP address and browser details when you visit the website; your email address and message when you email support |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete a conversation, scan or log entry, it's removed from our database. When you delete your account, all of your data is permanently deleted from our database. Copies of deleted data can remain in our database provider's automatic backups for up to 30 days, until those backups expire.
Data travels between the app and our servers over encrypted connections. Our database only lets each signed-in person read and change their own rows. AI and subscription requests run on our servers, so no AI key or Apple credential is stored in the app. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll notify you if a breach affects your data as the law requires.
BodyOra is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we'll delete it. Teens aged 13 to 17 may use BodyOra with a parent or guardian's permission. In some countries, including in the European Union, people under 16 need a parent or guardian's consent before their data can be processed.
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
